Early Summer Resonance
In Chinese Medicine theory, there are five natural elements that exist within us, as they do in nature. Each season belongs to a particular element and has unique correspondences. When we study nature’s patterns and cycles, we can learn how to support our own health and stay well year-round.
The Fire element belongs to the season of Early Summer. We make our way from the dynamic yang energy of Spring and start to look forwards to the most Yang time of the year Early Summer.
The Fire element has Four meridian lines that belong to it, two organs, one energy system and a Fascial encasing. Summer also has two seasons, a defined early and late Summer. Clearly Fire element is clearly the favourite. The Heart, Small Intestine, San Jiao and Pericardium meridian systems belong to the Fire element, and they play a very important role in our overall health and wellbeing. The focus of Early Summer turns to strengthening these organs, gathering inspiration, and to practice that which we observe in nature, expanding, connecting and finding joy.
Within the Yin, Fire organ; the heart, resides our Shen. This spirit or consciousness, is best translated as ‘heart-mind’ it is related to consciousness, cognition, insight, logic and awareness.
Join me for an evening of Qi Gong, Breathwork and Yin Yoga. Exploring Five Element Theory, Meridian Theory and the Chinese Spirits realms.

The Wood element belongs to the season of Spring. We make our way from the deep introspection of Winter and start to look forward to the brighter days of Spring.
The Liver and Gallbladder meridian systems belong to the Wood element, and they play a very important role in our overall health and wellbeing. The focus of Spring turns to strengthening the Liver and Gallbladder, gathering inspiration, and to practice that which we observe in nature, emerging into new growth and possibility.
Within our wood, yin, organ; the liver, resides our ethereal soul, The Hun, this spirit or consciousness, leaves the body during sleep and heads to the astral/dream realms before returning to the liver to organise our dreams. The Hun is concerned with turning our dreams into reality.

In Chinese Medicine theory, there are five natural elements that exist within us, as they do in nature. Each season belongs to a particular element and has unique correspondences. When we study nature’s patterns and cycles, we can learn how to support our own health and stay well year-round.
The Water element belongs to the season of Winter. We make our way from the quieter reflective days of Autumn and slow down into the deep introspection of Winter.
The Kidney and Urinary Bladder meridian systems belong to the Water element, and they play a very important role in our overall health and wellbeing. The focus of Winter turns to strengthening the Kidneys and Urinary Bladder, gathering inspiration, and to practice that which we observe in nature: slowing down and shedding that which we have out grown.

108 Sun Salutations
Yes, you read that correctly… 108 Sun Salutations. As the number may be intimidating, don’t let it steer you away from coming along. This single focused practice moves us into meditation by silencing the mind, allowing us space to be fully with ourselves and our breath. It is believed the fire built during this practice to be extremely cleansing and detoxifying not only for the body but also for the mind and heart. The continuous movement of Sun Salutations helps activate prana to move stagnant energy within the body so we can get in touch with ourselves and set new intentions for the next season. It will require surrender, patience, and an open mind. Are you up for the challenge?
Why 108?
The number 108 is a significant number in many aspects of the universe. It appears in ancient texts with 108 Pithas and Upanishads. The mala prayer beads containing 108 beads. In Vedic culture, 108 is seen as the number of wholeness and existence. There are 54 letters in the Sanskrit alphabet consisting of both masculine and feminine, 54 x 2= 108. The list goes on.. we’ll tell you more about the number 108 at the practice.
Why June 21?
As we will be experiencing the winter solstice on June 21, we thought it would be a great time for this cleansing practice. The winter solstice symbolizes death and rebirth. A time to release the old and form new beginnings, ready to take on the winter season.

The Fifth
Vayus, Mudras and the Art of Sequencing. ✨
The Fifth is a brand-new training created to explore the subtle energies of the Vayus and Mudras. It intends to guide students in the art of confidently and seamlessly weaving these powerful elements into their teachings. A collaborative environment for new and experienced teachers who seek growth and compassionate support on their journey to expand and refine their offerings.
VAYUS
The yoga tradition describes five movements or functions of prana known as the vayus (‘winds’)— Prana vayu (not to be confused with the undivided master prana), Apana vayu, Samana vayu, Udana vayu, and Vyana vayu. The five Vayus govern different areas of the body and different physical and subtle activities. When they're functioning harmoniously, they assure the health and vitality of the body and mind, allowing us to enjoy our unique talents and live life with greater meaning and purpose.
MUDRAS
Mudra, Sanskrit translation to ‘seal, gesture or mark’, are symbolic gestures typically practised with the hands and fingers. Practising Mudras facilitates the flow of energy in the subtle body and enhances the journey within.
Essentially, mudras are a form of non-verbal communication – an ‘external expression of inner resolve.’ Ekhart Yoga.
ART OF SEQUENCING
Through an embodied approach we will explore our knowledge of Mudras and Vayus to create masterful and mindful flows. Workshops will dive into the art of language and provide a framework for refining your sequencing.
As a teacher, sequencing and language are powerful tools that if learnt to harness will provide an elevated level of offering.
Each day offers a unique blend of theory and practice, weaving together lectures, experiential learning and group discussions. From dynamic asana sessions to guided meditations, you'll integrate the teachings seamlessly into your body, mind, and spirit. Throughout the training you’ll practice sharing your newfound knowledge with others receiving valuable facilitator and student feedback, refining your skills, and leaving empowered to continue your yoga journey with authenticity and depth.

This will give rise to body intelligence - instinctively healing ourselves and assisting others to find balance.

Winter Resonance
Winter Resonance is a seasonal offering using multi modalities all designed to bring harmony and balance to your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self during the season of Winter. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, health is achieved by living in balance with nature and the seasons. Winter, the season of the Water Element, is the season for slowing down, reflecting, and conserving our resources.
This season is associated with the kidneys, bladder, and adrenal glands and the time of year when these organs are most active, accessible, and even vulnerable. They are more receptive to being restored, nurtured, and energized. At the same time, it is also when they can become easily depleted. Using Breathwork, Qi Gong, Yin Yoga and Meditation.
Winter Resonance with Katie is an invitation to take time to nurture, restore and balance yourself with some deep introspection.

Mother's Day Heart Revival
Mother's Day Heart Revival
- a celebration of motherhood -
It takes someone brave to be a mother, someone strong to raise a child, and someone special to love someone more than herself.
It is in our love of a child, or a partner, or a passion that we can realise our vulnerability. The true signature and perhaps even the miracle of human love is helplessness, and all the more miraculous because it is a helplessness which we wittingly or unwittingly choose.
We are offering a nurturing retreat to reconnect to your authentic emotional heart.
Through somatic movements we can stimulate the vegus nerve, and find an internal switch. A switch that pivots everything inward to slow down and to soften, to nurture and rekindle our divine pranic spirit .
An offering of love!
